Internal Auditing & Risk Management (AIMR) is a bi-annual, peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by Athenaeum University of Bucharest since 2006.
The journal serves as an intellectual and practitioner forum for the exchange of knowledge, insights, and expertise in the rapidly evolving fields of internal auditing, risk management, corporate governance, and financial control.

History
Internal Auditing & Risk Management was founded in 2006 by Athenaeum University of Bucharest and the Center of Excellence in Financial Management and Internal Audit. The journal was initially published quarterly (4 issues per year). Starting with 2022, the Editorial Board decided to transition to a bi-annual publication schedule (March and September) to enhance the quality and depth of each issue.
Over the years, AIMR has published over 200 peer-reviewed articles and has been indexed in RePEc, CEEOL, SSRN, and Google Scholar.
